Elfreth’s Alley Hosts It’s May First Friday Sip & Stroll the Alley Evening
May 4, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Elfreth’s Alley will host it’s second First Friday Sip & Stroll the Alley of 2018 with an evening of Apples; To Eat or to Drink; which will include a brief discussion of why apples were more important to our colonial ancestors as a ingredient in hard cider than as something to eat. This event will be accompanied by a cider tasting by our sponsor, Commonwealth Ciders.
Sip & Stroll History is an opportunity to visit the Elfreth’s House Museum and learn Bits of American Social History and perhaps engage in a refreshment in a relaxed atmosphere during Old City District’s First Fridays. This event is from 5pm to 8pm and admission to the event is free.
Commonwealth Ciders creates traditionally fermented hard apple ciders that defy the trends of modern cider making. Commonwealth Ciders are fermented dry. In the process the natural apple sugars are converted to alcohol. No additional sweeteners, artificial flavors, preservatives or colors are added. The ciders are all natural & gluten-free.
Elfreth’s Alley, British North America’s oldest continuously inhabited street, receives hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the globe every year. No other site in the Nation celebrates three centuries of working class Americans, the place where colonial settlers of many religious faiths and immigrants from many countries tried to live together in harmony.
